The STIHL® FSA 86 is a powerful battery-powered brushcutter for home gardeners and semi-professional users. It can take on tough mowing, trimming, cutting, and lawn edging work with ease and is part of the STIHL® AP System of battery tools. With low noise emissions, the tool is ideal for work in noise-sensitive areas. And it’s IPX4-rated, meaning it can be used in all types of weather conditions.

The STIHL® FSA 86 is supplied with the AutoCut® C 6-2 mowing head, which can be refilled without the need for tools. It can also be used with the STIHL PolyCut™ 6-2 mowing head, which uses polymer cutting blades, or the DuroCut™ 5-2 mowing head, which uses serrated pieces of line for trimming denser grass or light scrub (both STIHL PolyCut™ and DuroCut™ heads are sold separately).

The brushcutter is fitted with a soft grip control handle that has variable speed adjustment, allowing you to control the speed of the mowing head while cutting. The aluminum shaft is especially sturdy too, and an adjustable loop handle lets you set the STIHL® FSA 86 to the working height you desire. A spacer is also included, allowing you to precisely trim around trees, shrubs, and objects.

On a full charge with the AP 200 S battery, the STIHL® FSA 86 has a working time of up to 35 minutes with the AutoCut® head and up to 60 minutes with the STIHL PolyCut™ head. What’s more, this battery provides perfect balance when used, making work even more comfortable!
